Garlic Scapes
Garlic scapes are a centrally located shoot that supports the garlic seed pod. They look very similar to green onions. They have a mild garlic taste. They can be sauteed fresh in length. They can also be chopped and used in pesto, garlic butter, omelets, scrambled eggs, pasta dishes, soups, stews, or any other place garlic is used. Chopped garlic can be frozen for long-term use in all these meals.
